Modern Treasury
A payments platform whose Ledgers API keeps double-entry balances for wallets, card programs and FBO accounts.
Modern Treasury sells payment operations and a managed ledger. Ledgers records money movement as double-entry transactions through a REST API: a ledger holds ledger accounts, transactions and entries, and each transaction’s debits and credits must sum to the same amount.
Accounts can be nested in up to five levels of hierarchy with live balance aggregation, and each account carries posted, pending and available balances. Other features include balance locking against overdrafts, balance monitors with webhook alerts, auto-ledgering of payment orders, reconciliation of ledger accounts against bank balances and data warehouse exports.
The wider platform moves money over ACH, wires, RTP and FedNow, push-to-card, checks and stablecoins, with KYB and KYC and payment accounts backed by regulated partners. Modern Treasury sells on annual terms with usage-based pricing and a minimum commitment, and prices Ledgers in usage tiers. It names ClassPass among Ledgers users.
