Fintech infrastructure explained: the banks, platforms, rules and records behind fintech products.
remwm is an English-language publication about fintech infrastructure: banking-as-a-service and sponsor banks, embedded payments and payment orchestration, lending software, card issuing, core banking, stablecoin infrastructure and tokenization. We explain how each layer works, list the companies that provide it and track what bank regulators order, for product, partnership and technology teams at fintechs, software platforms and banks.
What we publish
- Guides and explainers on each layer, starting with lending and BaaS and sponsor banks.
- Comparisons where readers weigh two models against each other, built from the same facts on both sides.
- Directories of fintech infrastructure providers and sponsor banks, with facts from the provider’s own documentation and from regulator records.
- Data: the sponsor-bank enforcement tracker, an order-by-order log of FDIC, OCC and Federal Reserve actions tied to fintech and sponsor-bank business, and a log of fintech infrastructure funding rounds as the companies announced them.
- News on the sector, built on regulator records and official company announcements, in News.
Who we write for
Product managers, CTOs and partnership leads at fintechs, SaaS platforms and banks, and the founders and investors who work with them. The focus is the United States, where most sponsor-bank programs and their regulators sit; other regions are added when the data supports it.
How we work
- Primary sources only. Every fact links to the regulator record, register, law or company document it comes from, with the date we checked it. How we source and refresh each dataset is on the methodology page.
- No ratings. We do not score providers, run tests or publish “we tested” verdicts. Articles appear under the byline of the editorial desk, remwm Editors.
- Checked before publication. Facts, dates and links are checked against our editorial policy before a piece goes live.
- Labeled paid content. Paid pieces carry a visible label and never change our data. See the sponsored content policy.
- Open corrections. Errors are fixed in the text and logged on the corrections page.
What we are not
remwm is not a bank, a broker or an adviser. Nothing on the site is legal, financial or investment advice, and we do not recommend which provider or bank a company should choose.
