Formance
An open-source programmable ledger for fiat and digital assets, with payment connectivity, flows and reconciliation.
Formance Ledger is a double-entry ledger published under the MIT license. Money movements are written in Formance’s Numscript language as atomic, multi-posting transactions, stored in PostgreSQL. Teams can define a chart of accounts and named transactions as YAML schemas. Formance supports production use through its Kubernetes operator or as part of the Formance Platform.
Around the ledger, Formance offers Connectivity, which normalizes payments, balances and payouts from providers such as Stripe, Adyen and Wise and from banks into one data model; Flows, for multi-step payment workflows such as splits, fees, holds and payouts; and Reconciliation, which compares ledger balances against payment pool balances.
